PROJECT OVERVIEW
Global Indian International School (GIIS), a prominent institution with a global footprint, aimed to enhance the best AV system for its Nagpur campus. The project, valued at INR 1.99CR, included a Multipurpose Hall with an LED video wall system, speakers, and classrooms with advanced audiovisual technology. COLCOM (Collaboration And Communication Technologies Pvt Ltd) executed the project in collaboration with T2 Technology Consulting, achieving completion within 5-6 months.
The project scope covered over 200 rooms, from interactive displays in classrooms to specialized equipment in studios and labs. Each classroom featured interactive displays and presentation facilities, while the boardroom was outfitted with Zoom Room capabilities. We previously worked for their multiple campuses in India (Pune, Bengaluru, Noida, and Ahmedabad.)
In 2019, COLCOM won SIIA’s “Best Application of AV in Education” award. Our ongoing commitment to innovation in education is evident in this project, which sets a benchmark for integrating advanced audiovisual solutions in academia. Our collaboration with GIIS has created an immersive, technologically advanced learning environment, benefiting students and educators alike across multiple campuses globally.
WHAT DID THE CLIENT WANT TO ACHIEVE?
Their primary goal was to ensure that all classrooms were equipped with the latest AV technology, enabling them to meet and exceed their global teaching standards.
By incorporating interactive displays, presentation facilities, and specialized equipment in various educational spaces, GIIS aimed to create a technologically advanced, immersive learning atmosphere that supports diverse educational activities and caters to the dynamic needs of modern education. This project reflects our commitment to maintaining its reputation as a leader in innovative educational practices, ensuring that its campuses are equipped with the best possible tools to facilitate high-quality teaching and learning experiences on a global scale.
SCOPE OF WORK YOUR COMPANY WAS INVOLVED IN
Our company undertook a comprehensive AV integration project for the GIIS Nagpur campus, aiming to create a technologically advanced educational environment. The scope of work included equipping the Multipurpose Hall (MPH) with an LED video wall system and line array speakers, ensuring the hall could cater to the audiovisual needs of the entire school.
We provided the latest AV solutions across a variety of classrooms, including music and dance rooms and labs. These spaces were fitted with audio and visual reinforcement systems to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Each classroom was tailored to its specific educational function, incorporating interactive displays and presentation facilities to support dynamic and engaging instruction.
In collaboration with T2 Technology Consulting, who played a pivotal role in the design aspect of this project, we ensured that the AV systems were meticulously planned and implemented to meet the highest standards. Our combined efforts focused on maximizing the functionality and usability of the AV technology, ensuring seamless integration and operation across all educational spaces. This project exemplifies our commitment to delivering.
WHAT KEY CHALLENGES WERE FACED?
Our primary challenges included managing the vast number of rooms, each with unique requirements, and adapting to the ever-changing project needs. The variety of spaces, from traditional classrooms to specialized studios and labs, necessitated customized AV solutions to cater to the specific needs of each environment. This required a flexible and adaptive approach to ensure all installations were optimized for their intended use.
Additionally, the project’s evolving requirements posed a significant challenge. As the project’s scope and expectations shifted, we had to continuously adjust our designs and implementations to align with these changes. This demanded close collaboration and constant communication with both the Consultant and GIIS to stay updated and incorporate any new requirements seamlessly.
HOW WERE THOSE CHALLENGES RESOLVED?
To address these challenges, we adopted a strategy of continuous discussion and collaboration with T2 Technology Consulting and the user group at GIIS. Regular meetings and feedback sessions ensured that we remained aligned with the project’s goals and could promptly respond to any changes in requirements.
By fostering an open line of communication, we were able to adapt our designs and installations dynamically. This collaborative approach allowed us to tailor the AV solutions to the unique needs of each room, ensuring user-friendly installations that were intuitive and easy to operate. Furthermore, we provided comprehensive training and support to the users, enabling them to utilize the new AV systems effectively.
Through this proactive and collaborative approach, we successfully overcame the challenges and delivered a seamless and highly functional AV integration that met the client’s diverse needs.
HOW HAS YOUR WORK HELPED THE CLIENT?
Our work significantly enhanced the learning experience for GIIS students by digitizing the educational environment. Every classroom is now equipped with touch-enabled displays, transforming traditional teaching methods into interactive and engaging sessions. This advanced technology facilitates dynamic learning experiences, allowing teachers to incorporate multimedia resources and interactive lessons seamlessly.
Additionally, specialized spaces such as dance and computer labs have been optimized to be more learning-friendly. The dance rooms are now equipped with AV systems that support both instruction and practice, enhancing the overall learning atmosphere. Similarly, computer labs have been upgraded to provide a more interactive and engaging environment, fostering better understanding and retention of digital skills.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF ABOUT THE PROJECT?
We are most proud of the transformative impact our work has had on enhancing the educational experience at the GIIS Nagpur campus. By spearheading the integration of advanced audiovisual technologies, we’ve modernized traditional classrooms into dynamic learning environments. Seeing every classroom equipped with touch-enabled displays and witnessing the positive feedback from educators and students alike has been incredibly fulfilling.
Moreover, our collaboration with T2 Technology Consulting and the proactive approach we took in addressing challenges and evolving project requirements exemplify our commitment to delivering excellence. Winning the “Best Application of AV in Education” award by SIIA in 2019 further validates our efforts and underscores the project’s success in setting new standards for educational AV solutions.
